Kingsmead Consultants have been exclusively engaged by Network Rail to provide Cost Planning Services; Cost Assurance and Validation for the tranche of works for the client Transport for the North.
The team at Kingsmead Consultants will be providing;
Independent cost assurance and recommendation by inspecting and scrutinizing Cost Plans & Cost Plan Reports submissions by Consultancies.
  • This will involve the enumeration and assessment of benchmark rates and prices.
  • Provision of technical support, verification and guidance on benchmark date where required.
  • Independent peer reviews of project feasibility studies and cost plan proposals.
  • Reporting and identifying initiatives for improving efficiencies
Liverpool Central Station Redevelopment
Kingsmead Consultants have been engaged by the Client Merseytravel to complete Cost Planning for the construction of a new platform within Liverpool Central Station to increase the current passenger flow.
The scope of works included the partial demolition of the existing station to facilitate the construction of an extended platform, new track, concourse area, new overbridge, lifts and stairs and car park area.
The Client required a consultancy that had decades of experience calculating the costs of a complex infrastructure projects and also required the cost validation of costs submitted to them by a development company to ensure cost assurance and validation.

Working for a Cheshire based Property Development firm, Kingsmead Consultants have been engaged to provide the following services;
  • Review of tender pack submitted by the Architect
  • Review of construction methodology and buildability
  • Compile tender winning Cost Plan
  • Analysed forecast costs against BCIS Cost data to ensure competitiveness, however to also safeguard against under pricing of the project to ensure the Property Development firm made a substantial profit during the course of the project.
Cheshire based Electrical Contractor
Kingsmead Consultants have been engaged by an Commercial and Domestic Electrical Contracting firm to provide tendering and commercial services. The firm has had an influx of work and requires the following services;​
  • Review of tender documents submitted by from builders
  • Compiling competitive pricing of winning tenders
